A Quick Guide to Submitting a Full Paper - revised 3 April

Change to submission guidelines. For those authors still to submit their paper (i.e. those with an extended deadline), please email your completed paper directly to me at k.a.christer@shu.ac.uk. Since the official deadline has now passed, we are trying to speed things up a little so do not use the conference system to upload your paper; I will do that for you.

Please note that papers should be submitted to me as Word files. See the author guidelines below for full details.

If you have any problems, please contact me at k.a.christer@shu.ac.uk and I'll do my best to help. Please note that my normal working hours are 9am-5pm Mondays & Wednesdays and 9am-12.30 Thursdays.

Guidance for Authors
If you have been invited to submit a full paper for review the main requirements are:
300 word Abstract
5000 word (+bibliography) paper (can include illustrations)
APA formatting for citations, quotations and references

Here is the detailed guide to authors. Please read it and follow it when formatting your paper.

conference management site
Some authors and reviewers have found the Open Conference Systems (OCS) software confusing, it is not a helpful interface. We have produced a basic visual guide to help you use the main features of the software as an author or reviewer, here it is:

Using the Online Conference System
We are using Open Conference Systems software (OCS), the open-source system developed by the Public Knowledge Project at University of British Columbia, funded by the Canadian Government to provide open-source software for editors of Open-Access Journals and Conference proceedings. Their Open Journal Systems Software (OJS) is used by many international open-access journals including the International Journal of Design//

We will produce an abstracts book and CD of full papers for you to collect when you arrive at the conference. Papers will also be archived online to ensure the maximum impact for your work.

A list of members of the refereeing panel will also be provided here, together with information about the refereeing process.

to receive information about submitting a paper and attending the conference

Optional: a note about this edit for the page history log
