Review Process - Frequently Asked QuestionsWhen I click on the review icon, nothing happens - why?Make sure you have completed Step 1 - notifying me that you will do the review. The system won't allow you to skip steps. I'm not sure if my review is completed Once you have entered your review into the review box (Step 3) and clicked 'save', you should see the review appear at the top of the box along with the date and time. This means that your review has been saved successfully. Please ensure that you have completed all the review steps. After pasting in your review (Step 3) you will also need to select your recommendation (Accept, Revisions Required or Decline) at Step 5 so that we can inform the author as soon as possible. If you've checked and aren't sure it's worked properly, please email Kirsty Christer, quoting the paper title or submission # and she will check. I typed in my review and clicked 'save' but my review has gone - why? This probably means it has 'timed out'. The best way to avoid this happening is to type up your review first (e.g. in Word) and then copy and paste it into the review box when you're ready. I've lost my password / username - help. Please click on the 'reset password' link at the bottom of your Review Request email. You will be emailed with a new password and, once you have logged in successfully, you can change it. There have been some problems with this link, so if this is the case, please contact Kirsty Christer for assistance. Why I have received an email reminder asking for my reviews? We are allowing 3 weeks for reviews but also need to know as possible whether you will be able to complete the review. If you cannot undertake the review for any reason (e.g. conflict of interest), then we will still have time to assign it to another reviewer. Why can't I just email you my reviews? We are co-ordinating over 300 reviews and so are not able to upload each one manually without holding up the whole review stage. When will I find out if my paper has been accepted? We hope to receive most of the reviews by early May and will inform authors as soon as we can once we have a decision from reviewers. Authors can log in at any time to see the status of their paper, but will be notified by email when a final decision is recorded. Authors will be allowed sufficient time to complete any revisions (if required) and still take advantage of the Early Bird discount on conference bookings. Main FAQ |
